A Story of War

The R.U.R. (Royal Ulster Regiment) have been sniped a bit at Razani and when withdrawing from 71 they received a volley, two receiving bullets through their fore and aft and another got one on the  puttee.

Had a party in the Club the other night. Nick and I met a couple of Rajputs, had supper and went to the cinema and put away a good bit of booze. Talks of a column on the 28th – the Munshi says its rumoured in the bazaar. Intelligence reports the 1/8 GR opposed by about 20 enemy the other day, and says laconically “two enemy hoped hit”.
