May 6th 1939 – Razani

The Rajputs have a cocktail party on 3rd. I go down about 8 and manage to leave at 9. Old Bill Cummyns 3/10 in good form and Harvey-Kelly had to be carried back. R.P. next day. Up 7101, very pleasant and a wonderful view from up there. No shooting that day. Next day we have a demonstration rehearsal which isn’t too good. I balls up my orders to start with, being accustomed to giving brief directions out on R.P. Yesterday I heard from Colonel Ekin, advising me to write to Major Smyth the 2nd in command of 2/13. Col Freeland returns on 18th this month, so I can but wait and hope. Letter from Reggie Malone. He is due for 3/11.
