A Story of War

It was the post guns yesterday afternoon, but at about 7.30pm the 6-inchers went out onto the aerodrome and opened up. They took some time, as they forgot the rangefinder and had to send back for it. Some locals apparently came in and said that parties of hostiles were in their area and would we open up. Anyway, they had two targets and put four 6″ shells on each, and they made some noise too. The RA have to stand-to most of the time to cover the Tochi Scouts camp on Crocus.
