September 27th 1941

Pete Jennings arrives as C.O. and takes over from Coade. Many changes in the air, and it likely that we get down to some proper training. Today Hammerbeck, Dicky and I go and beat up Khushalgarh bridge and Jand station, having arranged with Pentonji (Capt Penton, Army liaison officer) that there are some mythical troops there.

Much tennis these days, swimming and booze. “Happy days are here again” as they say. Tooth quiet.
