A Story of War

Yesterday I do a recce of Moulmein aerodrome with fighter cover. Nearing it I see a cloud of dust and expect something to be taking off, but no, and from 6000′ I see something like a DC2 and four fighters grouped round a hangar, and one fighter dispersed north. I come straight back and some 2 1/2 hours later the fighter boys ground strafe them, catching several on the ground.

A recce today of where the Japs are supposed to have landed (the troops contacted them early this morning) but nothing seen. A lull in the war at present, but there’s plenty of moon, so I expect parachute troops are being prepared. Anyway, nothing to stop them.
